One week ago, a gunman killed 50 people in a terror attack at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. Today, women around the country — including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Christchurch Mayor Lianne Dalziel — wore headscarves to remember the victims and show solidarity for the Muslim community. “I hope that seeing thousands of New Zealanders wearing headscarves will show them how deeply we value and respect their courage,” said Kate Mills Workman, who is wearing one today as part of the “headscarf for harmony” campaign.
