Anyone who has seen a performance by OK City Chorus, the Oklahoma City chapter of Sweet Adelines International, knows that the ladies not only can sing like nobody’s business but that they do it with plenty of personality.

Now, one of the chorus members is going viral for dancing like nobody’s watching. Video of one of the bass singers shaking sleigh bells – and everything else – during the choir’s rendition of “Jingle Bells” has garnered more than 5.5 million views, 76,500 shares and 11,000 comments on Facebook since last week.

According to Inside Edition, the name of the scene-stealer in the Christmas tree sunglasses is Marie Dallam, of Oklahoma City. She is an associate professor of religious studies at the University of Oklahoma, and she was instructed to act as goofy as possible – and followed through magnificently.

“I think of myself as a serious person and shy in my normal life,” Dallam told Inside Edition. “Being a member of the OK City [Chorus], it allows me to indulge in my silly side.”

If you’re having a little trouble with the holiday blahs in this week between Christmas and New Year’s, Marie’s one-woman dance party just might cure what ails you – and the singing is pretty darn entertaining, too.
