LOUISVILLE, Ky. — July was a busy month for the medical doctors, nurses, and moms at Norton Girls’s and Kids’s Hospital.
The hospital’s Labor & Supply unit delivered 537 infants – 283 boys and 254 women – in the course of the month of July. That is a median of 17 infants per day. The earlier document set in September of 2015 was 534 infants.
Dr. Gigi Girard, an obstetrician and gynecologist for Norton Girls’s Care, stated the July births have been a bit uncommon; August and September usually are the busier months for childbirth.
“In reality, we anticipate the subsequent few months at each hospitals to be busy as effectively,” Dr. Girard stated. Norton Girls’s and Kids’s Hospital is already 204 deliveries forward of 2018. In that yr, the hospital delivered 5,374 infants.
The hospital celebrated the document with 537 pink and blue cupcakes on August 2.
