As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress who was contacted by the media upon hearing the good news, shared that she was already happy that her film, “The Fallen” was selected for several festivals, and didn’t even think about winning any award in the process.

“I am on vacation with my family in Bali right now, and I am extremely happy to hear this news. But I do somewhat regret the fact that I wasn’t able to attend the film festival and accept the award myself,” she said.

Irene also expressed her gratitude to the team of the Emperor Motion Pictures, especially chairman Albert Yeung and manager Mani Fok.

“I wouldn’t have been able to win this award without them,” she added.

As to whether this would further her chance to win Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards, the actress said that she would leave everything to fate.

“I don’t need to mind too much whether I win or not. That way I would be happier,” she added.
