Hong Kong police fireplace tear gasoline at protesters


Hong Kong police fired tear gasoline at demonstrators Saturday in a dramatic escalation of protests which have consumed the town for greater than two months.

The altercation happened on Hong Kong’s Kowloon peninsula and got here after demonstrators threw bricks and Molotov cocktails at police, in keeping with Reuters.

“After repeated warnings to the protesters went futile, law enforcement officials have deployed tear gasoline and minimal power to disperse protesters,” the federal government stated in a press release, including the protesters “posed a severe risk to the protection of everybody.”

To date, no accidents have been reported.
