The former Girls Aloud star, 35, wore a bizarre pair of demin hotpants and thigh-high boots to teach followers how to perform the moves to Ciara’s track Level Up.
In the clip, which was posted on Instagram, the new panelist for the BBC One show broke the dance down into sections and gave instructions on how to learn it at home.
She was seen waving her arms around and thrusting her hips to the music as as she told aspiring dancers how to copy her.
The video racked up thousands of views online and fans flocked to the Greatest Dancer page to share their thoughts on Cheryl’s masterclass.
Many took to Instagram to declare they thrilled to see the pop star teaching dance routines.
One wrote: “Yeeeeaahh go Chezza!!! You are the dancing queen.”
However, other fans insisted Cheryl should have been teaching moves to her own songs instead of sharing a routine by another artist.
Another wrote: “Please, we want more videos like this.”
The new show starts on Sunday night and also features Stctly pro Oti Mabuse and former Glee star Matthew Morrison.
She will be mentoring aspiring dancer on the series, and she’s admitted she has much less experience than the other panelists.
Cheryl told The Sun : “They’ve had really long careers in dance and in performing arts.
“Mentoring other people one-on-one like I did on X Factor might help me with the mentality of how things go.
“But in terms of knowledge and stuff, they’re more than qualified.
“The thing I was probably most experienced with was, I went to summer school at the Royal Ballet when I was nine… and now I’m like 35.
“So beyond a pas de chat I probably couldn’t tell them much more. I couldn’t tell a ballerina what to do.
“It was a long time ago.”
