With the Bruins missing out on the NCAA Tournament, former UCLA star Zach LaVine has found another reason to remain excited about the winners and losers during March Madness. Currently a member of the Chicago Bulls, LaVine will give his custom, black and red BMW i8 to anyone who has a perfect bracket.

The giveaway is part of LaVine’s two-year endorsement deal with the athletic retail chain Finish Line. The cost of a BMW i8 starts at $143,000, but LaVine’s added details to the ride will certainly improve its worth. The former first-round draft pick claims that he added the custom colors prior to being traded to the Bulls over the summer. “I thought it was kind of cool because my dad’s car’s black and red, my car’s black and red, so it’s almost like it was destiny,” said LaVine of the coincidence.
Will destiny see fit that LaVine turns the car over to a new owner? The odds are slim. NCAA.com has reported that the chances of landing a perfect bracket are 1 in 9.2 quintillion. To date, no one has ever been able to prove that they have accomplished the feat. Destiny and luck will have to work overtime for LaVine to turn over the keys.
