How much do we truly understand the digestive process?

Ayurveda provides us a depth view of the digestive process, that goes beyond what is commonly known, sees the digestion as the center of the entire wellbeing of a person, and branching it into six unique stages.

“We are what we eat” and also “what we digest“, illustrate that the food we eat and digestion is the most important in staying healthy.

According to Ayurveda, at the moment you put your food in your mouth, the digestive process starts, and depending on what you eat, lasts approximately 6 hours, 1 hour for every stage.
