Black Panther isn’t just pouncing all over the box office – it’s slaying on the Billboard charts, too!
Black Panther: The Album, the official soundtrack to the Marvel movie, has landed at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart.
The album came in with 154,000 equivalent album units, of which 52,000 were traditional album sales, according to Billboard.
The soundtrack, which was curated by Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment’s CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, also notched the best week for a soundtrack since 2016′s Suicide Squad: The Album.
It’s also now the second soundtrack to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this year, following The Greatest Showman.
