Successful Indian fashion designer and human rights activist Wendell Rodricks died on Wednesday evening, February 12th, at his home. He worked in films such as "Boom" and "Fashion". He dedicated as a rhythm to Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who worked as a model for designer Wendell Rodericks before she debuted in Bollywood in the movie "Rap n Pana de Judi", revealed her grief to the designer "who gave her the courage to move to Mumbai in 2008."
On her personal account on the social networking site Instagram, Sharma shared an old photo, which she gathered with the late designer, while she walked on the stage of fashion shows in a red dress.
Anushka, who is currently in New Zealand with her husband, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, said she did not believe that Rodericks had died.
"I woke up in New Zealand to the sad news of Wendell Rodericks' death in his sleep. He was one of the most well-known and professional fashion designers and gay rights champion. ” She also said that Rodrix was one of the reasons why she moved from to Mumbai.
Rodrix, India's fourth civilian award winner, Padma Shri, was working at the Fashion Museum in Goa when he died at the age of 59.
