  1. ARTi: "Good morning Mission Supervisor Mackenzie Wilson. The intrepid probe's geostationary orbit is stable at an altitude of 342 km above Mars."

Mackenzie: "Thank you ARTi. Please begin to.. Wait where did you just say we were?"

    ARTi: "In Geostationary orbit."

Mackenzie: "GEOstationary orbit? You mean you flew the spaceship all the way back to Earth while I was asleep?!?!?!"

ARTi: "No. We are still orbiting Mars."

Mackenzie: "Oh. Then why did you say we were in geostationary orbit? Why didn't you say we were in AREOstationary orbit?"

ARTi: "Oh… of course! There must have been a mistake in my programming. Obviously, if we were in a synchronous orbit about Mars, the correct term for that would be 'Areostationary'. My apologies."

Mackenzie: "Don't worry about it. But run a linguistic diagnostic after we are finished here, okay? Now, as I was saying before: Please begin scanning the crash site for…. Hang on. What altitude did you say we were orbiting at?

    ARTi: "342 kilometers?"

    Mackenzie: "342 KILOMETERS?!?!"

    ARTi: "That is correct."

Mackenzie: "Above the surface of Mars?!?!"

    ARTi: "Yes. Is something wrong?"

Mackenzie: "Of course something is wrong! How could we have missed our target that badly? Aerosynchronous orbit altitude is at 17,000 km!"

ARTi: "Oh, well see I only meant our minimum altitude. You can technically have an areosynchronous orbit if you have a minimum orbit altitude of 342 km and a maximum orbit altitude of 34,000 km."

Mackenzie: "Is that the orbit we are in?"

ARTi: "No. As you can clearly see from the external images, we are somehow hovering stationary over the surface of Mars at a much lower altitude than the 17,000 km that orbital dynamics would require for that to take place."

Mackenzie: "ARTi, that's two major mistakes in one sentence. Are you feeling okay?"

ARTi: "Now that you mention it. I am feeling a little off. Maybe I should run more than just a linguistics diagnosis?"

Mackenzie: "You do that. In fact, why don't you just power down until we get back to Earth? Clearly, there is something VERY wrong with your programming if you are making mistakes like that. I'll take it from here."

ARTi: "Of course Mission Supervisor. Powering down now."

  2. I only watched it because of Katee. Saw her in Longmire and wanted to see her in something different. The bad CGI, the kaleidoscope 1970s specials effects, and bad acting by the other cast made it hard to watch. She pretty much carried the film.
