25 Mar – Making their way to Malaysia for the first time ever last weekend were the stars of Thai comedy movie “Bike Man”.
Actor Pachara Chirathivat a.k.a. Peach and actress Sananthachat Thanapatpisal a.k.a. Fon held a Meet & Greet Session with their fans at Pavilion KL last Saturday.
Director Prueksa Amaruji briefly joined his cast on stage and later excused himself for his session on filmmaking with local students and filmmakers who were interested in the topic.
Peach and Fon had no problem holding the stage on their own as they interacted brightly with their fans, whether during the Q&A session with the emcees Captain and Mook or during the games session with lucky fans selected from the enthusiastic crowd.
This being the duo’s first visit to Malaysia, both said they were excited to finally get to see the iconic twin towers in person and to get to try the famed local delicacy, nasi lemak.
They got their chance to step foot in the country thanks to their movie being selected as one of the titles for this year’s Thai Film Festival in Malaysia, which takes place until this 27 March.
Released in their home country last September, “Bike Man” sees Peach starring as the title character who has to pretend to be working as a banker just to please his family while Fon plays his love interest, a former high school crush who is now an actual banker and is dating a bank director.
There are a total of seven movies, all screened for free, at the film festival: “Bike Man”, “2,215”, “App War”, “Premika”, “Homestay”, “The Promise” and “The Pool”.
