LIVERPOOL beauties Heidi Range and Jennifer Ellison have put indulgences on ice as they get in training for reality TV success.
Sugababe Heidi, from Aintree, and former Brookside actress Jennifer are among the 15 celebrities set to compete in the new series of Dancing On Ice.
Newly-single Heidi today said her intensive training regime for the ITV1 show has left her body “more toned”.
The 28-year-old singer, who split up with presenter boyfriend Dave Berry last year, said she was nervous about her first performance.
She said: “I would love to get to the stage where I am performing and enjoying it, rather than just feeling nervous.”
The singer added she has worked on her stomach muscles as she gets ready for the challenge of skating.
She said: “I’m still going to the gym. I went after my first costume fitting. I thought ‘you’re in lycra on HD TV’.
“Since training for Dancing On Ice I have noticed my body changing shape slightly. My legs and my bottom seem more toned, which is good.”
Another celebrity taking part in the show, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley, is Hollyoaks’ Jorgie Porter.
Heidi said: “It is great now we are at Elstree more and we keep bumping into everyone. It is really nice, like a little gang now and I am enjoying getting to know everyone.
“I had the chance to spend time with Jennifer Ellison and Jorgie Porter, which was really nice.”
Other contestants include EastEnders star Laila Morse, Dallas actress Charlene Tilton, 1980s actor Corey Feldman, singer Chesney Hawkes and skier Chemmy Alcott.
Also appearing are fitness guru Rosemary Conley, children’s TV presenters Sam Nixon and Mark Rhodes, TV presenter Andy Akinwolere, Emmerdale actor Matthew Wolfenden, founder of freerunning Sebastien Foucan and Corrie star Andy Whyment.
Katarina Witt and Louie Spence join Robin Cousins on the judging panel.
