Since Gerrard has retired from international duty, he can enjoy the time off that Liverpool FC get when international games come up.
And the 34-year-old retreated to the Algarve for a relaxing golf break with a group of friends.
The brand new Quinta do Lago North Course was redeveloped and the Algarve invited the Ryder Cup winner Paul McGinley himself to mark the reopening of the course.
And Scouser Gerrard made sure he was there to put the course to the test, and to meet up with star golfer McGinley.
Taking to Instagram, the skipper told his followers, “New Quinta do lago North course is special”, before meeting up with the golfer.
Sharing a video of himself in his golfing attire and warming up on the course, the midfielder said, “Warming up for Paul Mcginley golf day #taylormade#quintadolago”.
Gerrard then posted the snap of himself with the golfing legend, telling fans “Big thanks to Paul Mcginley for great day #legend”.
