The Batman unveils first look at Robert Pattinson’s full Batsuit and Batcycle

The first full look at Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit for The Batman is here, and fans might even have a sneaky peek at Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman too.

Pattinson isn’t actually wearing the jacked-up leather reinvention of the Batsuit in brand new photos from filming of director Matt Reeves’s Worlds of DC movie — instead it’s his stunt double donning the cowl for filming at The Glasgow Necropolis.

This version of the suit is heavily armoured, with spiked wrist gauntlets that’d make Thanos jealous. Batman is also shown riding a streamlined version of the Batcycle as he races through the cemetery in more of our new photos.

This sleek reimaging of the Batcycle is a change from the more stylised design for the bike that was supposed to feature in the Justice League film, for example.

One shot captures Batman giving chase to a helmeted figure who may well be Catwoman — again, played here by a stunt double rather than Zoë Kravitz.

Catwoman is one of several rogues to feature in The Batman, along with The Riddler (Paul Dano), The Penguin (Colin Farrell) and Gotham City crime boss Carmine Falcone (John Turturro).

Pattinson’s cowl was unveiled this month by Matt Reeves in a camera test, with many drawing comparisons to the Arkham Knight video game.

Kravitz has previously expressed her excitement in working with Pattinson.

She told Variety: “I think he’s perfect for the role and it’s going to be such an adventure. I’m excited to have him as my partner in crime and to be there to support each other, because it’s intense.

“It’s going to be a long shoot and there’s a lot of pressure, and I know he has my back and I have his.”

The Batman has a release date of June 25, 2021.
