She’s known for the big-hearted, big-mouthed characters she’s created on film and TV, but now Margi Clarke is using that famous voice for a different good cause.
The actress is hosting the first of what it’s hoped will become fortnightly quizzes in pubs around Liverpool to raise funds for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Quizzed by Working Class Diva – The CALM tour kicks off this Friday (Jan 30) at the Bleak House pub in Park Hill Road off Mill Street with Margi overseeing proceedings in her own inimitable fashion.
The night promises posers on local history, entertainment, general knowledge and an outrageous questions section.
Insider’s source confirms: “It will be hugely tongue in cheek of course, but a lot of fun. There’ll be prizes and a bowl of scouse on the menu too.”
To be put in the hotseat by a Scouse screen legend, and raise money for a great charity supporting men in the fight against depression, just turn up from 7.30pm and bring brains.
