The Atomic Kittens are no strangers to reality TV and Natasha Hamilton’s venture onto Big Brother won’t even be the first time the house has had a brush with one of her band mates.
Natasha, Kerry Katona and Liz McClarnon have appeared in a string on reality TV programmes since the band was formed in 1998.
In 2006, after a three year break from the band, Natasha made a return to TV when she appeared in BBC One’s Just the Two of Us.
The show, hosted by Vernon Kay and Tess Daly, paired eight celebrities with recording artists to compete in a duet singing competition. The singer was the runner up on the show in which she appeared alongside celebrity partner and fellow Liverpool actor and singer Mark Moraghan.
Natasha fancied herself in the reality kitchen when she appeared on Channel 4’s much loved Celebrity Come Dine With Me.
The star, best known for her singing career, will be back in the limelight tonight when she will join other celebrities including Daniel Baldwin, X Factor’s Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine, supermodel Janice Dickinson and presenter Gail Porter, in the Big Brother House.
Kerry Katona, who quit the trio in 2001, was crowned queen of the jungle when she won I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004. Her and ex-husband, former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, went on to appear as judges on the Irish talent show competition You’re A Star.
The ladette turned lady put practice into reality when she appeared jepon ITV’s My Fair Kerry in 2005.
The star gave the audience access all areas when MTV cameras filmed Kerry Katona: Crazy in Love; Kerry Katona: Whole Again; and Kerry Katona: What’s the Problem? The programme showed the singer’s struggle with living with bipolar disorder.
The star was runner-up in the Big brother House in 2011, finishing behind winner Paddy Doherty.
Bandmate Liz McClarnon appeared on ITV reality programme Celebrity Love Island and came runner up in the 2005 show.
Liz also gave it a go in the reality kitchen when she appeared on Celebrity Masterchef. The culinary goddess proved she had what it takes and was crowned winner of the celebrity cooking show in 2008.
