Coleen Rooney may be used to producing bestsellers – but she has turned her attention to her new kids’ book.
The Liverpool WAG turned designer has co-written the book The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex in aid of Children in Need.
Coleen – who has released a best-selling biography and a style book, has joined forces with a host of top stars to penning something her two boys can enjoy.
The 29-year-old teamed up with big names including Sir Paul McCartney and hubby Wayne for the literary project, which is to pull in millions for the annual charity fest.
For the first time, some of the most famous names in music, sport and showbiz have got together to write a one-of-a-kind story.
The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex was created by 25 celebrities including One Direction,Take That, Rod Stewart and Kylie Minogue.
Each celeb has written a page armed only with the information of the main character a half-girl, half-dinosaur called Fi-Rex and with only the final line of the previous part.
Coleen tweeted: “You can buy the children’s book I wrote with some friends for @BBCCIN Great cause & out now!”
On Sir Paul’s page he resurrects the famous Frog Chorus characters from his 1983 hit We All Stand Together, while the 1D lads appear as a frog band – called Pond Direction.
Others involved include Bear Grylls, Jamie and Jools Oliver, Tom Daley, Andy Murray, Kate Moss, Amanda Holden, Denise Van Outen, Penny Lancaster, Ronan Keating and Leigh Francis.
Thousands of pounds were raised in a Bonhams auction of the stars’ pages at The Library, London, and now people can bid for signed copies themselves.
The online auction boasts the remaining eight signed pages. It will run until Children in Need night, November 13 and details can be found here.
- The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex is available to buy in hardback and paperback from Amazon, WHSmith and Tesco.
