The Spice Girls have announced they really, really want to reunite and get on stage again, 20 years after Wannabe was released.
But just three of the bandmates appeared in the Youtube video confirming their reunion which has thrown up questions about where our very own Mel C is?
Many fans have taken to social media to beg Mel C, from Widnes, to join the rest of the girls.
Under the caption GEM, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B shared images and a video this morning where they thanked fans for their support and told them about their exciting news.
Mel B said: “We’ve been thinking. We have the best fans in the whole entire world.”
Geri said: “You’ve stood by us for 20 years and we want to say a big thank you.”
They then reveal they are holding a ‘party’ and everyone is invited, their biggest hint yet that they are playing London’s Hyde Park for a reunion gig next July.
The Wannabe hitmakers have teamed up with music manager and lawyer Joyce Smyth and PR guru Alan Edwards, who worked with them in the 90s.
It is not yet know whether fellow bandmates Victoria Beckham and Mel C will be joining them, but the 42-year-old fashion designer is considering it as she would love for her four-year-old daughter Harper to see her as a part of The Spice Girls.
As for Mel C, she has spent the morning tweeting about Wannabe’s birthday, but has made no reference to the news of a reunion.
After posting a picture of the single on her Facebook page many fans commented how a Spice Girls reunion would not be the same without her.
Anne Cassidy said: “Come on Melanie, seriously…you were always my favourite spice girl. One London concert is all I ask so I can be there one last time! xx”
Matteo Benventi said: “Happy birthday?! You should be with the other 3 girls… Whats the excuse? No time? For god’s sake!
Gabrielle Allara said: “Shame, you have to celebrate the twentieth anniversary with the other girls come on!”
Quest Wu said: “Mel C, we all really really want you and Victoria for the 20 celebration! Come On!!”
