Liz McClarnon has revealed the reason she didn’t join the Atomic Kitten World tour was because she hates flying.
During an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine this morning the star said she fully approved of Michelle Heaton taking her place.
She admitted she hated flying and didn’t want to travel all the way to Australia.
The 35-year-old songstress said: “It’s never been a thing for me – I just don’t like it.
“When we wound up the band on our last tour, I said to myself ‘Right, I am not going to do this anymore’. I do not like to travel.”
Liz turned down the opportunity to go on tour down under with fellow kittens Kerry Katona and Natasha Hamilton.
To help fill in the band asked Michelle from Liberty X to take Liz’s place, after she worked with them on the big reunion.
Liz said: “I have no regrets whatsoever. The girls are having so much fun and Michelle is one of my best friends.
“I still get all the gossip and like to find out what’s going on. I’m always on the phone saying ‘Is everything okay? What’s been happening?'”
