Liverpool Stormtrooper dancers Boogie Storm performed in a galaxy far, far away when they starred at the wrap party for the new Star Wars film.
The team took to the stage at the Natural History Museum in London to perform on the same bill as Ellie Goulding and watched by the stars and crew of Star Wars Episode Eight.
Their performance brought the house down, with Luke Skywalker himself – actor Mark Hamill – sharing the video at the top of this article on his social media in which he can be heard laughing delightedly in the background.
The team also met actors including John Boyega who plays Finn, Poe Dameron aka Oscar Isaac and Star Wars legend Anthony Daniels, C3PO himself.
Lee Seddon from Boogie Storm said performing at the show was a huge privilege and they immediately said yes when they were contacted by the film’s production team, who had spotted them on Britain’s Got Talent.
Lee added: “I couldn’t believe we’d be actually mixing with cast new and old, crew, the director and even the president of Lucasfilms.
“Everyone was so nice to us and made us all feel welcome. Even Anthony Daniels – C3PO – came up to our dressing room to personally meet us for photographs.
“When we performed the guests went wild, both Mark Hamill and John Boyega filmed it and put us on their social media. Their support has been fantastic.
“It’s crazy to think that I used to adore Star Wars as a child and now Mark Hamill one of the biggest names in the movie loves Boogie Storm.”
Lee added the group are now being contacted to perform around the Uk and the rest of the world.
“For a dance group from Liverpool that was unknown to anyone less then six months ago to be performing at the wrap party for one of the biggest movies of all time is such an achievement,” he said.
“I’m so proud of our team and the staff at Jelli studios. We have been out every night this week performing and have calls coming in about different jobs all the time.
“The spirit in the team is amazing. We can’t really believe what is happening, but we are all enjoying this whirlwind experience and can’t wait to see where it takes us next.”
