Lousie Redknapp has finally broken her silence on rumours she’s broken up with her former LFC star husband Jamie.
Appearing on This Morning today Louise was grilled by Eamonn Holmes on the truth of the split rumours and she said it had “been well documented” in the media and went on to say that she was focusing on her children.
But she refused to explicitly state that they had split, reports the Daily Mirror.
Eamonn said: “Of course, everyone’s talking about you and speculating about your life and you and Jamie, Where are you at? What’s the situation?”
Louise replied evasively: “I think that it’s been so heavily documented and of course we all go through hard times and my priority and his priority is our children and protecting them and keeping as much private as possible and loving them and putting them first. That’s really what we’re focusing on.”
She also said that work had been a real “saviour” during this time and hinted that Strictly might have prompted the split.
The former Eternal star said: “I think for me, going back to work has been something that has been a real saviour for me. Doing Strictly – Ruth you know this – it does something.
“And for me it’s all about performing and to go back on stage every night and get the opportunity – you know in this business, opportunities don’t always come along. You kind of have to hope.”
The pair have been plagued by divorce rumours since she was believed to garner a new lease of life following her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.
Louise, 42, and Jamie,44, have been married for 19 years and have two sons together – Charley, 12, and Beau, nine.
Amid all the drama, Louise has gone full steam ahead with work, and is set to re-launch her pop career with a series of live gigs.
The former WAG announced her first concert dates in 15 years – kicking off her comeback at Chelsea’s Under The Bridge venue.
Speaking about her return to music, Louise said: “I went into the studio to rework some of my original tracks. I can’t wait to be back on stage performing all of the hits and my favourite covers.”
