Anthony Russell was filmed singing a Stevie Wonder duet with Jamie Carragher at a swanky house party last night.
The fresh-faced former X-Factor star was in good spirits while celebrating being clean and sober for six months with friends and fans.
Liverpool FC legend Carragher , 41, showed off his slim physique in a polo t-shirt and jeans as he ‘dad danced’ while holding a bottle of Corona.
But there was no alcohol for Anthony , who was dressed in a Hugo Boss t-shirt, paired with his trademark Nike Air Max trainers.
He posted several videos of the Bootle pair singing Stevie Wonder hit Isn’t She Lovely to his Instagram story and captioned them ‘Bootle’s finest’ and ‘Bootle house parties’.
Carragher later posted on Instagram: “Barbecue at the house with the main man from Bootle.”
Anthony, whose X Factor fame was cut short by a drugs scandal, told of being six months clean of drink and drugs on August 27.
Speaking to the ECHO earlier this year he explained why he quit the X Factor tour after it took him to ‘rock bottom’.
He said: “I absolutely loved the show, I absolutely loved the tour and I was having the best time of my life performing, being around the contestants and having a good time.
“Unfortunately the scene wasn’t for me at that time.
“I was feeling weak and the team did a great job with me, I was well looked after and we just came to an agreement that at that time I wasn’t ready to be in that type of environment.”
“You know how it is with tours and the music industry it’s kind of hectic isn’t it?
“I was always round people who had the best interests for me and stuff and the team were amazing for me. I love them to bits.
“It brought out the best in me as an artist and the best in me as a person but I wasn’t strong enough at that time to be around bars and the nightlife. I really enjoyed it though.”
He added: “It was a rock bottom. I’ve been living mad. I’m not from a poor background or nothing. I come from a boss family – my family have been very supportive. They love me to bits and I love them to bits.
“It was like the world at my feet and it just happened so quick I just wasn’t ready to be in that type of situation or those types of events. When I was performing I was but it was kind of hectic.”
