Liverpool Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D actor Daz Crawford hints at shock return

Liverpool actor Daz Crawford has hinted that his run on the hit US series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D may not be over – despite his character Kebo being electrocuted!

The Toxteth-born former boxer and TV Gladiator has been playing the villain since the show’s second season. But despite being retained after an initial one-episode deal, it looked as though the bad guy had finally met a shocking end in season three when he was electrocuted in a swimming pool brawl by Marvel superheroine Mockingbird.

All may not be lost for fans, though, as the 47-year-old actor has suggested he could be ready for a miraculous comeback.

“It’s an assumption that I’m dead,” Daz teases. “Are you sure I’m dead?”

It could be a clue to a possible return when the second part of series 3 arrives in the US on March 8, or maybe it’s just wishful thinking on his part. He’s made no secret of the fact that he enjoyed his extended stint as Kebo.

“I love working on the show and it would definitely be something I would like to work on again,” he adds.

Now based in Hollywood Daz, whose previous screen credits include Bond movie The World is Not Enough and Blade 2 with Wesley Snipes, has certainly become a fan favourite as Ward’s steely right-hand man in the series, shown here on E4.

The devoted Reds fan was the baddie they loved to hate and he’s relished the chance to use some of his real life hard man skills on screen.

“I understand productions need to protect the actors but at the same time it’s rewarding to be able to do everything,” he explains. “I was an Olympic boxer so I’m a bit of an action guy and I like to get my hands dirty. If somebody says ‘go jump 100 feet’, I’ll give it a go!”

  • Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is on Sunday nights at 7pm on E4.
