Great Scott! Back to the Future the Musical is actually happening and to prove it, here’s an awesome trailer featuring a very familiar face.
Fans of the cult franchise will know that Christopher Lloyd played fan favourite Doc Brown, the inventor of the time machine which transported Marty McFly back in time.

The trailer is set in the theatre when Marty McFly (Olly Dobson) rushes in and talks to Lloyd, who is hiding behind a newspaper. He hands him a set of keys and rushes off.
Then in comes Doc Brown (Roger Bart), who has a spectacular likeness to his predecessor, and Lloyd lowers the newspaper, with a smile and says, “let’s keep this our little secret”.

Unfortunately, Lloyd won’t be appearing in the musical, but it was fun to watch his cameo in the trailer.
The musical will show off new music and lyrics by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning Alan Silvestri and six-time Grammy Award-winning Glen Ballard, as well as some of the songs from the movie soundtrack.
Back to the Future the Musical opens at the Manchester Opera House on February 20, 2020 for a 12-week season, prior to transferring to the West End.
Tickets can be purchased from ATG Tickets.
