Jack Whitehall has revealed he thought was going to get into a fight with Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson after his last gig in the city.
The comedian, who comes back to the Echo Arena on February 5, admits he had a nervous backstage encounter with the Reds midfielder after his last live show here.
Jack said: “He’s the only person I’ve ever done a joke about on League Of Their Own and he properly got me back because I genuinely thought he was going to punch me.
“He came up to me afterwards and he was like ‘I heard the stuff you said about me, it’s not funny’ and he really went for me.
“And then he suddenly went ‘I’m only joking, I don’t care’ but he really had me!”
There’s no hard feelings between the pair now, though, and Jack hopes to see the Reds skipper in the audience again when his Jack Whitehall: At Large tour is in Liverpool.
He said: “I’ve got to get him down to the Echo Arena, I think I definitely owe him a couple of tickets for February.”
