Stella McCartney paid a touching tribute to George Michael in her Paris Fashion show.
Stella – The daughter of Paul and Linda McCartney – had her catwalk models sing and dance at the culmination of her autumn/winter collection show on Monday.
It was a fitting tribute to George, who famously cast five of the 90s’ biggest supermodels – Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford – in his Freedom 90 music video.
It was followed up two years later when supermodels including Eva Herzigova, Linda Evangelista and Tyra Banks then appeared in his Too Funky video.
As her show ended the models danced along to George’s iconic song Faith, as they were joined by more and more models.
They chanted “Love, faith” as they walked off the stage before Stella walked out to thank the crowd by blowing kisses their way.
George was found dead at his home on Christmas Day, aged just 53.
It was announced on Tuesday that a coroner had ruled his death as natural causes.
Oxfordshire’s senior coroner Darren Salter said in a statement: “Inquiries into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post mortem report received.
“As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further inquiries.”
The coroner added: “No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and public respect their privacy.”
