Wirral Olympian Sam Quek revealed shes bringing her showbiz pals with her to the Aintree Grand National festival.
Sam is one of the Ladies Day ambassadors and will be helping to judge the style award on Ladies Day.
Speaking at Aintree the hockey champion said she hadn’t yet got an outfit for the festival, but that she was very excited for her first ever Aintree – following the madness of I’m A Celebrity Get me Out of Here.
She said: “I’m still recovering from the Jungle, I was a massive fan of the show and after the Olympics I was approached by ITV.
“Everything went quiet and then two weeks before the show I got a phonecall and then before I knew it I was in Australia.
“It was the best experience, one of the biggest challenges, but I loved every second.”
Sam is still good friends with her jungle camp mates and said she would be bringing them to the Saturday – Randox Health Grand National day.
The 28-year-old said: “I promised Carol Vorderman and Ola Jordan that I would bring them to Aintree and they’ve held me to it.
“They’re going to come and stay at ours and we’ll all get ready at mine before heading out to the Grand National.
“Then I’m going to bring my friends on Ladies Day and have a really girly day.”
Sam also gave out some advise to those hoping to impress her at the Style Award.
She said: “I’ll be looking for an outfit that brings out people’s personalities.
“People go to such effort, but sometimes I think less is more, understated glamour is the way forward.
