Todd Phillips’ Joker has broken yet another record with two big wins during the Golden Globe Awards 2020.
On Sunday (January 5), Joker came out as one of the major winners of the night, with Joaquin Phoenix winning Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, while the movie’s composer Hildur Gudnadóttir scooped Best Original Score.
And with those two prizes, Joker has taken the most Globes for a comic book movie in the history of the awards.

It’s just another milestone on Joker‘s list of achievements. It already became the most profitable comic book movie ever made – what’s next? Perhaps an Oscar or two…?
Joker was also nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Director, but lost both of those to historical war drama 1917 and its director Sam Mendes.
Elsewhere, Joker‘s Todd Phillips recently teased that a future Batman film could be set in same universe as his movie.
“It’s a beautiful Gotham. What I would like to see someone tackle is what Batman looks like from that Gotham,” he said, before clarifying: “I’m not saying I’m going to do that.
“What was interesting to me about the inclusion of Batman in our movie was, ‘What kind of Batman does that Gotham make?’ That’s all I meant by that.”
Joker is available to pre-order on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD.
