On Sunday, Feb. 10, the BAFTA festivities were underway at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Joanna Lumley showed up to host and Cirque du Soleil and Jess Gillam were there to entertain. As the night unfolded, one thing became clear … The Favourite was going to dominate the night.
Winning seven awards total, The Favourite also took home the award for best Make Up & Hair. The film’s make-up and hair designer, Nadia Stacey, had this to say in her acceptance speech:
“I’m so grateful to be in the category with people that I have looked up to for so long, so I feel so blessed. Nobody stands up here without an incredible amount of people behind them, and my team were just amazing. Thank you to Yorgos [Lanthimos, the director] for choosing me. An incredible cast and crew. Mum and dad, and my friend Lizzy, because she’ll think this is funny. Thanks very much. Thank you.”
