Glentoran have announced the signing of experienced defender Gavin Peers.
Peers left Derry City at the end of last season and was understood to be considering his future.
But now the 33-year-old has decided to continue playing, joining up with Gary Smyth’s Glens.
Smyth said: “I’m delighted to get such an experienced player into our football club.
“Gavin’s career has been laced with success no matter what club he was with. His most successful time was at Sligo, were he won the league and three FAI Cup medals and made almost 350 appearances.”
Smyth added: “He’ll bring a wealth of experience to our defence and to the team in general.”
