ابي احد يساعدني في اسرع وقت
Power transmission system of an industry consists of a shaft supported between bearings that carries a belt and pulley drive where the pulley is keyed to the shaft. Pulley is located between the bearing supports and shaft is **t transmitting any power i.e., the shaft is at rest where there is ** applied torque on the shaft.
a) Draw the schematic diagram of the system indicating all the parts
Analyse the system and answer to the following questions
b) Draw the free body diagram of the shaft indicating all the forces involved
c) Perform force analysis and obtain the support reactions
d) Draw the shear force and bending moment diagram and obtain the maximum bending moment

e) Develop the method for obtaining maximum bending stress and evaluate the maximum bending stress
f) If the weight of the shaft is also included in the analysis calculate the support reaction
g) List down the important mechanical properties of the shaft material
h) Develop formula to evaluate the radius of curvature of the beam as a result of bending and obtain the same
Following data can be used for the purpose of analysis
i)Diameter of the shaft (ds) = 22 cm
ii)Material of the shaft (M) –Bronze
iii) Length of the shaft(L) = 4.6000000000000005m
iv) Weight of the pulley (Wp)= 280N
v) Distance between left bearing and pulley (L1) = 0.90000000000000002m
