2013 episode of WWE RAW,
Kaitlyn defeated Eve Torres, to become WWE
Divas Champion…
Backstage, the stipulation was made by Booker T, that Eve Torres would lose her
Divas Championship if she was counted out or disqualified.

Kaitlyn was already in the ring for the match, followed by
Divas Champion
Eve Torres making her way to the ring. A shot of
Kaitlyn being named Diva of the month in WWE magazine was then seen. Aggressive tie-up by the ladies, with Eve attempting a side headlock take-down. Kaitlyn’s counter sent Eve Torres to ringside, who would lose her title if counted out.
Once back in the ring, Eve was able to gain control of the match after a kick to Kaitlyn. After escaping a submission from Eve,
Kaitlyn was able to turn the match in her favor with a flurry of offense.
Kaitlyn looked to have the title won after an Inverted DDT; however, Eve kicked out. Moments later, we saw Eve hit her neck-breaker finisher on Kaitlyn
only for
Kaitlyn to kick out. A**ther near win moment came when
Kaitlyn hit her Fireman’s carry gutbuster finisher on Eve, which sent her to ringside.
Kaitlyn went after Eve, and instead got thrown into the barricade. Eve then threw
Kaitlyn over the barricade, and went back into the ring for
Kaitlyn to be counted out.
Kaitlyn instead sneaked back into the ring, and hit a spear on Eve for the win…
Winner(s): Kaitlyn at 5:27
Later on the show, a clip was played from Eve during WWE Active second screen interview, where she quit the WWE…
Thoughts: Fantastic match by the ladies, with the fans solidly behind them. The build-up to the match for weeks… months, had a great payoff. The WWE gave us a reason to get behind Kaitlyn, and both her and Eve delivered. Enjoyable near falls—something we rarely get from the Divas, and man… what a spear. Excellent story telling. Sadly, we lose Eve Torres. But what a way to go out, in a very memorable match.
