دراسة إسبانية تشير إلى العلاقة بين بعض التمارين ومخاطر الإصابة بأمراض بعينها

السيدات اللاتي يمارسن رياضة المشي لثلاث ساعات أسبوعياً على الأقل يكن أقل عرضة للإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية، مقارنة بالسيدات اللاتي يمشين لوقت أقل أو لا يمارسن تلك الرياضة المفيدة على الإطلاق، كما أشارت دراسة إسبانية حديثة.

بالرغم من أن هذه الدراسة لم تستطع أن تثبت أن ممارسة رياضة المشي بشكل منتظم يمكن أن تقلل من حالات الإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية بين السيدات المشاركات في الدراسة فإنها ساهمت ببعض الأدلة التي تثبت وجود تلك العلاقة بين أنواع محددة من التمارين وبين مخاطر الإصابة بأمراض بعينها.

ففي هذه الدراسة تم سؤال ما يقرب من 33.000 رجل وامرأة عن نشاطهم البدني وذلك لمرة واحدة في منتصف تسعينيات القرن الماضي كجزء من دراسة موسعة أوروبية عن السرطان. في هذه الدراسة قام فريق البحث بتقسيم المشاركين وفقاً لنوعهم ونوع التمارين التي يمارسونها وإجمالي الوقت الذي يقضونه في أداء تلك التمارين البدنية.

وقد قام الباحثون الذين نشروا نتائج دراستهم بجريدة "السكتة", بمتابعة حالة المشاركين بشكل دوري لتسجيل أي حالة إصابة بالسكتة. في أثناء فترة المتابعة التي استمرت لـ12 عاما, سجلت 442 حالة إصابة بالسكتة الدماغية بين الرجال والنساء المشاركين في الدراسة.

وقد أشارت النتائج لانخفاض بنسبة 43% في مخاطر الإصابة بالسكتة الدماغية بين السيدات اللاتي يمارسن رياضة المشي بشكل منتظم بالمقارنة بالسيدات اللاتي لا يمارسن أي نشاط بدني.

ولم تثبت الدراسة أي انخفاض في مخاطر الإصابة بالسكتة عند الرجال بالاعتماد على نوعية أو فترة ممارسة التمارين.

وصرح كاتب الدراسة جوزيه ماريا هيورتا من هيئة الصحة بإسبانيا: "ليس لدينا تفسير واضح لهذه الظاهرة"، مفترضاً أن الرجال قد شاركوا في هذه الدراسة وهم يتمتعون بحالة صحية أفضل من النساء.

معظم المشاركين في الدراسة كانوا من المتبرعين بالدم الذين يتمتعون بصحة جيدة.

وصرح د. ويلسون كوفا، من جامعة شيكاغو، أنه لا يستطيع أن يعول كثيراً على نتائج هذه الدراسة، لأنها طبقت على نوعية خاصة جداً من الناس, إلا أنه عاد وأكد على أهمية ممارسة النشاط البدني لتقليل مخاطر الإصابة بكثير من الأمراض ومنها السكتة.

Women who exercise walking for at least three hours per week **t less prone to stroke, compared to women who walk for less time or **t in those sports are useful at all, as a Spanish study.

Dr. Wilson said Cova, University of Chicago, he could **t rely on the results of this study, because it is applied on a very special quality of people, but he returned and emphasized the importance of physical activity to reduce the risk of many diseases, including stroke.
